We got a bit creative in using the stock jack to move the exhaust to make the ends line up. That was a brilliant idea. Oh wait, that was MY idea. of course!

OffRoadCam09 Appreciate it, plan to tackle this tomorrow after I give the jeep a bath an interior cleaning from the beach trip I got back from at the start of the week

RKracing No B.S. It was easy. You just gotta look at everything you are going to do and follow the directions 100%...Read the directions over and over again a few days before......NO SHORT CUTS!

I swapped to a 2.5 kit an they are needed. I didn't need then for the 1.5 kit

ESP Are you doing this with the 1.5 kit cam or are you going to a higher lift and now need it?

Big Fran My Jeep only had about 500 miles on it when I did my exhaust spacers. I was lucky to have a buddy to help me and he had a lift at his shop. I think they were harder to put on then the lift was. The nipple thing came off kinda easy. The bolt is a bitch to get loose and hard to get to on the y-pipe. Being a new Jeep I thought it would have been easier but we could not get the pipe to slide up into the other pipe even after removing the nipple. We ended up using pry bars and got the spacers in and everything bolted up without ever slipping the pipe into the other. Nothing was rubbing anywhere so we just bolted everything back up and it has been fine. It just pushed the exhaust to the back of the Jeep the amount of the spacers.

PHILDABEAST I've heard they are a pain but when I did the wifes lift the exhaust spacers took maybe 30 minutes start to finish. My buddy on the other hand said the spacers took longer than the lift did.

Tweak I wasnt even able to slide the pipe into itself to make a big enough gap, I ended up putting a ratchet strap around the y-pipe and running it all the way back to the rear axle. cranking on that was enough for me to get the spacer in. my exhaust hangers are now at a pretty good angle. Ill be replacing everything soon with a dynomax that dumps next to the t-case

yjswampthing I worked for over an hour trying to get these on. As mentioned, the nut on top of the y pipe is a bear with zero room to get any torque on it. I finally was able to do the old hooking two wrenches together to make a sort of make shift cheater bar and loosen it. I wouldn't plan on being able to just put the wrench alone on it and being able to loosen it. Also seem to remember not enough room for a ratchet.


The rest of it is easy as pie. Don't over tighten the bolts as the heat will stretch everything out.

Oh and yeah mine was rugged ridge. For lift purposes you'll need to do this first to allow the axle to drop far enough.

hair2831 I had to end up taking mine to an exhaust shop because I couldn't get the nipple off the Y pipe and a couple of the bolts are just about impossible to get to. They charged me $40 but it was well worth it!

OffRoadCam09 Anybody have any tips on installing these? Gonna try an tackle it this weekend if I have time. I have the rugged ridge spacers but I would expect it to be similar to the others. Anybody have any pics of theirs installed or insight?
