No other fluid besides brake fluid will work.

JACK3D As far as thicker fluid, Im not sure. But to replace the slave, yes you will have to drop the transmission. It's a royal pain in the ass. I've done it twice in the past 6 months.. Good luck

Fluid leak

My slave cyl. on 93 YJ is leaking, fluid is dripping from bell housing[ not to bad yet] Can you put a heavier fluid in besides brake fluid to slow it down for awhile? Guessing you have to drop tranny to replace cyl. Any suggestions ?
