Congrats and welcome to the forum!!!
Jump on the Vegas page Nevada Jeep Forum - Jeep Wrangler Forum
Loose bunch we post up runs and other things so hang out there once in awhile.
Stock JK auto or stick is very capable and have wheeled with both the only thing the auto needs is a transmission cooler for the longer climbs they seem to heat up a bit. Hopefully yours will come factory installed if not check with your dealer.
Lift can be done without voiding your warranty. Call the service dept at Chapman in Henderson look for Derrick Goern and he will fill in all the details.
Also if your are looking to go wheeling check out the Desert Wranglers in Google go to the home page and see if there charter fits what you want to do with your Jeep. If so join no cost no meeting requirements just have a wrangler and enjoy it.

Jeep Newbie from Las Vegas
Hello guys, so I'm a newbie to the Jeep Scene as i have recently placed my order for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I live in Las Vegas as it be nice to meet locals in the same scene but also open to anyone for advice and input. I'm so excited to pick it up in December. Just thought i meet some people with the same interest and assist me with building my jeep. Ok here comes the questions
1) As far as a lift I've been reading it voids the power train warranty once the lift is installed but not sure what the actual answer is. Also can the dealership instal the lift in any case to keep the warranty valid as i will have a brand new vehicle and having the warranty voided just sounds insane to me. but if thats the case ill just take the hit and get the lift anyway
2) my vehicle will be my daily driver, i was looking on 37" tires with a 20" wheel. Is that practical? Are there anything else i must add to it since they are bigger aftermarkets? Also off roading/wheeling/mudding would be an every now and again type thing as i wont be doing it very often.
3) my vehicle is an automatic is that even capable of off roading/wheeling in the Nevada desert.
Looking forward to hearing some of your responses,
