I was with 1-1 Cav 1st Armored Division. First to cross the Sava River. Luckily I was due to ETS in October of 96 so I didn't have to do another winter. And cold is an understatement...lol. Yeah Uncle Bill let us know we were going on Thanksgiving, one week later I was on a train headed south...lol.

Figured it out one time that I spent some time at the Stumps on average at least once a year, every year of my 20 years in the Corps - not including the year I was there for BEC (2841). I can still smell Lake Bandini all the way in Texas if the wind is right.
