Mrmikeypoo this started when the brake light switch was replaced? have you checked the switch itself? use a VOM to test- should be NO (normally open) with no brake pedal and closed with brake pedal. I have not looked at mine but is it on an adjutsable mount at the pedal arm? I would start there. good luck.

Yes, all of my lights worked too, except my brake lights stayed on. I don't know if it is the same fix for you, but that was MY problem.

Scuba Dude It is good to see that I am not the only one with Jeep problems, although I had all of mine within the first 24 months of its life. Mine stayed on because the ground wire was crimped behind one of the tail lights. Mine was the driver side...

Brake Lights Always on?

My brake lights stopped working a couple of days ago. I thought that it was weird that both of them stopped at the same time, so the first thing that I checked was the fuse. The fuse was fine, so I replaced both of the bulbs and still nothing. I then thought that it was the brake light switch. So I replaced the switch as soon as I got it connected the lights all stay on even without the keys in the ignition. I dont know what to do, I talked to one of the guys at auto zone and he said that it might be a relay or a ground. I pulled all the relays under the hood and none of them even made the lights turn off and I dont even know where to begin to check the ground for the lights and dont know if it is the problem. Any help would be great, Thanks.
