The stock harness will not have the power to operate the h-4 bulb efficiently. The wiring harness, is plug and play, super easy…also you get new reflectors… from http://www.rallylights.com/vehicle-type/domestics/jeep/sm6024j-headlamp-kit-for-jeep-wrangler-2007-replaces-h13-lamp-with-hella-e-code-h4-headlamps.html
Something in think is the single best mod you can do.
Take a look at http://www.wranglerforum.com/f132/the-official-jk-aftermarket-lighting-thread-hid-halo-fog-etc-166997.html, pay attention to the posts by Hilldweller.
Hope this helps

I just ordered the KC Hilites H4 kit from quadratec.
I'm curious to see how much better the upgrade it on it's own, with the Phillips Extreme +80 bulbs, and ultimately with a new harness.

|KG32a||Oh yeah....FYI, my adapter harness that I bought from DS came from Rallylights.|

|KG32a||I just did the Stern upgrade with the Cibie headlights and the recommended Sylvania bulbs. I used the standard H4 plug and play harness and adjusted them correctly. The lights are better but still not what I was looking for on low or high beam. I'm going to try the upgrade harness next and see how that performs.|

H4 vs. H4 with full harness
Is it even worth upgrading to H4 if I don't re-wire with rallylights or Daniel Stern? Our junk headlights have bad reflectors and horrible power. Is H13 vs H4 power worth $120/$150 for a harness?
