If you have stiff springs, it's probably the same concept as the back end of 3/4 ton truck. It's a pretty darn stiff ride. You add a bunch of weight or a heavy trailer behind it, it settles the ride down. The stiffer springs in the back are there to carry heavy loads. With no load the springs are too stiff... without stiff springs you can't carry heavy loads.
Same as the jeep. Don't know how stiff your springs are but if they are stiff more weight will soften them... sort of.... IMO

Better ride with a winch
Has anyone noticed a better more solid ride after putting on a winch? Just put a new Warn winch on the front of my '94 with no track bars. Noticed no more of a jumping of the front end driving down the road. I know the extra weight helps the jumping.
