Did you authorize your new machine for using the iTunes Store? You are only allowed to have five computers authorized at any one time. If you've changed computers a few times since you created your iTunes account, could you be over the limit?
If you are over the limit and don't have access to the old computers any more to deauthorize them, you can call Apple tech support and ask that they deauthorize ALL computers associated with your Apple ID. They only offer this service once in a specific amount of time (like once a year), so use it wisely.

Debating on taking it to an apple store or Bet Buy to see if its salvageable.
I bought another Pro yesterday but it isn't downloading my purchases.

ugh just how much water? Don't try to turn it on, stuff could short. I'd remove the battery and try to dry it out. Not that you'd have this much dry, uncooked rice lying around, but I think the same principle used for a phone would work on a laptop. Preferably in an airtight container, so the rice can soak up all the water.
I know iTunes keeps track of your purchases, so could you just re-download the songs on another computer?

Anyone a Mac expert?
My ex decided to see if our MacBook Pro was waterproof...it wasn't.
I need to know if anything is salvageable and if not, how I can rebuild my iTunes library...
