Good prices for tires!

Hi Shorty, generally my 33x12.50 on a 15" wheel ran great. They were on my '93 Wrangler w/a 3" lift and the 2.5 motor.
I guess it might have taxed the engine some but you wouldn't have noticed.
Of course I drive kind of tame anyway.
Now I own a '97 TJ Sahara 4.0L and the extra power is very noticeable and nice. I bought the car 3 wks ago, it had a 2" Body Lift Kit on it and I added an extra 3" Teraflex Suspension Lift. Next I looked at tires and settled on 35x12.50 on 15" wheels.
I had a professional 4X4 shop add the lift and it runs super. I get compliments on it all the time.
Again, especially with a 5" lift, I don't go in the woods, I wouldn't dream of scratching my baby.
So the lift and the big tires all play together nice because of the easy way I treat the car.
I've got some good news on tires for you.
In your research for the best price, try logging on to tirecrawler.com.
I wanted Goodrich T/A KM2 tires for my Jeepster and found these guys were the cheapest. Everywhere else, these 35" tires were around $240 but because this site is just starting out they offered them at $170 ea. delivered.
And I've been driving on them for the last 2 wks and they've been great!
Their phone: 1-888-396-5261 and ask for Denny Allen. He's a good guy and very helpful and no, I do not work for them. I just want to give back to the Forum because I've found a lot of good advice here.
Good luck,
Mark

birdhunter I would go 8 inch on rims but your stock 7 inch would work
15x8 rims
31x10.5x15 on tires but you can go bigger down
the line

Thats just my 2cents

help with tires and wheels!!!

ok so the other day i just got my 2in suspension lift for my 99 tj and now im trying to decide on wheels and tires. i found the wheels that i want but i dont know how wide i should get them. im only getting 15in wheels. also i want to know how to determine how high different tires are. i wanted to get 31's cause i have a 4cyl and i think anything bigger would be to much on the engine. so can someone help me determine how wide my wheels should be with 31in tires. thanks!
