R u s s Turn on you head lights and try starting it when they are on. If they dim just a little probibly somthing with the starter. If they go out or get very dim then its battery related.

kcookuscg I had a friend that a bought a brand new battery and it went bad in the first three months. It even tested good the first time he started having problems. Sometimes you just get a dud. Just in case you haven't tested it and are going off the fact that it is new!

2000 Wrangler wont start!

I have a 2000 jeep wrangler, 4.0 w/ automatic trans. I haven't had any issues previously until now. I tried to start my jeep and it began to turn over. I released the key and it didnt start. When I tried again my starter clicked and then nothing! I had someone turn the key for me and I can hear the fuse clicks to engage the starter. So next I moved to the starter, I jumped the starter and it engaged but motor didn't turn. Now it's dark outside and that's where I stopped at! I plan on replacing the starter in the morning just to start off. Figured I would get other suggestions! Thanks as always guys!
