|Mikel01||Purchased universal adjustable cellphone mount from Walgreens. Secured it with 4 cable ties. Tight and close enough for USB cable. Parking brake completely usable.|

|Espo78||Here's a crappy pic. it places the iPhone perfectly so you can record video while driving also. And because its a universal mount I can move it between different cars easily. As long as there is a CD slot it works. I keep all my music on my phone, no need for CD's anymore.|

You guys make it way too complicated lol.
I use a mount from Mountek.
Mountek nGroove Grip: Universal CD Slot Car Mount for Smartphones and GPS Devices : HTC
I have an AUX cord that I wrapped around the base to plug into my phone and the stereo. Almost no wires. Only thing is I can't charge my phone this way. You could easily add a charger to the lighter plug though.

Phone, Tablet, and CB. I normally use this setup for traveling. Phone running VIVID/Torque app and the tablet running GPS. And the CB moved from the vent up to my tablet mount. Oh forgot my ancient Sirius Radio mounted below the shifter.

Has anyone tried this ram mount that works in conjunction with your RV Mirror? It lists it as compatible with Chrysler mirrors, but I would like to know if anyone can verify that it will work in a JK...and if there are any pro's or con's to using it over another mount?

Look Mama, No Hanging Wires
I just finished this mod for my cell phone. I used the Bracketron and the Akron adapter. I cut off the top of the Bracketron, and grinded it smooth. Then I attached the Arkon, and I tapped into my cigarette lighter from behind with another lighter and USB attachment. I wired everything from behind the console and ran the wires through the gooseneck, for the Aux jack and the cell phone power. It never moves on its own, even if I brush against it. I can push the buttons with one hand and it wont move.

Daystar dash with the GPS ball. The iBolt mount for my Galaxy S3 (shitty phone) matches up perfectly. Use it to shoot video too.

|ChasUGC||I've actually decided to try something different for my cell phone setup. I'm going to use the Bracketron and combine it with the Arkon 18" gooseneck. Then, I'm going to run the wires from behind the console through the gooseneck so that the wires are totally out of the way. I just got the Arkon and the Bracketron. The front plate of the Bracketron has holes that actually line up with the Arkon which is good for a test run, and running the wires. Eventually, I plan to shear off the entire front plate of the Bracketron and drill holes on the side to mount the Arkon, and grind it to look more professional and less conspicuous.|

This is a copy of what i posted, from another thread:
Ram Mount parts
We use a combination of mounts in the jeep. We have a handlebar rail mount on our Welcome Distributing grab handle. We also have a universal no-drill seat mount on the passenger seat. Either of these mounts will work with the Xgrip series holders for the iPhone/iPad. We have one of each. We typically mount the phone on the grab handle and the iPad on the seat mount, just for better visibility. The iPad would be a heck of an additional blind spot in the windshield.
Both mounts are swivels, so you can angle them to your exact liking. The iPhone mount was steady enough that Mike was able to capture video out on the trail in Hurricane Creek in North Carolina. He posted the video on the forum somewhere, but I don't remember where. If you search for WhiskeyMike Hurricane Creek, you should find it. It didn't bounce around very much at all. The iPad, being so much heavier, does wobble a bit on the floor seat mount, but nothing that you can't live with. When I am in the passenger seat, I just rest my leg on the mount and it doesn't move any more, and its not uncomfortable.
They are all marine grade parts, so they should wear/last a while. My father has used Ram Mount products on his motorcycles for years and he's never had a problem with them.
One caveat: the Xgrip mounts aren't limited to iPhones or iPads. You can use them on different devices within a certain size range, with or without cases.
Here are the links to the parts we've used from Ram's website. But check both Amazon and eBay for the best price when you are ready to purchase.

I also posted some pictures in that thread, if you care to look. There were several other options people posted as well.
Hope this helps!

The Cigarette Lighter Holder, doesn't cut it for me either. It is always loose and destroys the cigarette lighter. Also, it has too many wires everywhere.
I'm looking for a console bezel mount cell phone holder. One with a goose neck cable attached to the bezel with the wires(power and Aux), coming from behind the bezel through the goose neck so that there aren't loose wires everywhere. This way you could mount it on the left or right side of the bezel and adjust the goose neck where you want it. It would be real clean this way and you could save your cigarette lighter. I think I saw it at the dealership. If I get it, or find one, I'll post pictures.

The mounts are designed to custom fit models individually and built to accept different mounting plates.

Bracketron. Works great as GPS, camera, heads up display. Etc. Wasn't sure of quality of design, however, if you keep the green mounting pad clean it holds great.

Love my ProClip USA mount.
It looks close to factory and is very sturdy.
