Any tips on types of trails I should be using it on? I went to bigbear but just got on 1 trail that was rated moderet or something like that but it started to rain so I left withought hitting any more trails.
And tip on dues and donts. Any bit helps and will be apreciated.

|miklo||Thanks and yes its a 2013 which was hard to get with the red seats but I chased one down and got what I wanted and been supper happy for the past 3 weeks. Now im just looking for trails to take it to. I found a few now I need to make the time and effort to take it out and have fun with it.|

|miklo||Thanks. I guess ill look into a winch for the jeep and some heavier plates as well and ill keep wheeling it stock for the time being.|

|peanut09||I noticed the skids this morning as I am getting ready to mount the MOPAR winch mounting kit. I would be surprised if they are all this way I think it is tied to the 10A bumper. Which I guess is now part of the 2014 X package.....|

I just bought my second JKU, a 10th Anniv. After taking my stock 2012 on the Rubicon last year, my suggestion would be first to armor the vulnerable parts. I followed many lifted jeeps that left parts along the trail, though that will be heresy to those that invested so much in the lifts. With stock 32" tires and a Skid Row armor set, I went over the Rubicon fine. Many scrapes, but that is what skid plates are for. I did tear a right fender that allowed me to later upgrade to flat fenders. But my jeep drove off the trail fine.
There are many options for skid plates out there; I prefer Skid Row for their bolt on versus multiple drill hole approach. Also upgrade your diff coverss (I used ARB).
What I didn't know and may be of interest to the community is that the 2013 JKU 10th Anniv (and I assume the 2DR as well) has an improved front armor plate covering the sway bar disconnect motors and the front end that used to be (on my 2012) protected by a flimsy plastic cover. It was two skid plates I didn't have to buy!
Do the normal Rubicons also have the improved front skid plate, or is that only for the 10th Anniv models? Anybody know?

I always recommend that those new to jeeps wheel the jeep stock for awhile. One it teaches you to pick lines which makes you a better wheeler and it tells you a lot about your jeep. The 10A is great stock and will take you a lot of places. I would recommend that you get yourself a winch first that way when you get stuck you can get yourself out.
Maybe you won't do this for long but it is a great way to start. I say this because you said you are going to wheel it. Had you said you only bought it for looks then I would have said do whichever you think looks better.

|Rob-gor dad of four||Welcome (my first post, but I have been lurking for well over a year). I believe there are 2 reasons to lift. 1 bigger tires and 2 looks. If you are doing it for looks, it is up to you. If you are lifting so you can get some big "shoes" let us know how big and the type of wheeling you will be doing and you will get some great advice. 10a rubicon unlimited
Im new to the forum and its my 1st jeep. I got a rubicon unlimited 10a. Will post pictures soon. What should I do as far as suspension goes? Stock or a small lift? Mostly will be driven on road and long trips with occasional off road Hopfully more than once a month.
