bluvikng I did not know that it was a standard thing, unless they put the right springs, on the left side. I know my lift had passenger side, written on two of the springs. Anyway, sorry about my comment, it was totally uncalled for. I will bow out of this conversation, cause my two Jeeps sit very level, and I thought they all did.

no problem. but i didn't think my comment was that bad. i've heard of this "problem" a lot. and like i said, their was a guy that did was doing measurements so he could see how much lift he was gonna get and his was "leaning" also so he posted up a thread and tons of people had the same situation.

they said it was "a Jeep thing"

ChilliRed My jeep is a little cocked as well, cant tell if your driving it, but its a little noticable after you know its weird. Since it doesnt seem to be messing anything up i havent looked into it much. Its just one of those dumb things that never seem to get fixed haha.

mr4x4 well my tj leaned to the right and I was doing three wheel left turns with the rear sway bar connected. Never did it till I did the axle swap.
Turns out I had the right rear coil in wrong turned it around and it feels more stable and I cant do three wheel left turns any more.

bmxstreet15 Tire pressure is good, I bought the jeep with the lift on it already. I am planning on going to a fabtech long arm 6 inch though. 4 inches isnt enough clearance. Springs are seated properly. all bolts are tight. I cant figure this out. Maybe its because I never have anyone in the passenger seat? I am going to swap the rear springs just to see if it leans the opposite way when I do this. If it does than it is most likely a spring, right?

hardy1531 I am not smart or anything but have you checked air pressure in the tire? I like to think it is always something easy...( but I know the truth, it never is)

mrbigjeep if its just a half inch then i don't think its anything to worry about.

a while back a guy was doing before and after measurements and his leaned also. if i recall correctly then it was at least an inch.

Did your lift come with new short arms? It would take a lot of slop, in the short arms to create that kind of drop. Just thinking out loud here, I still would have to go with either the springs aren't sitting correctly, or you got a bad spring, in the bunch. With the few miles that you have on your Jeep, I can't think of anything else it could be. Just make sure that each spring is in the perch, correctly. Meaning that the end of the coil, fits into the divot in the metal seat. There is only one correct way for it too sit. Make sure that all of your bolts are tight on your s/a's and the rest of your lift. Keep us posted to what you find out on this.

I ran to wal mart and came back home..thats all. That is why its got me stumped. It is also a 4 inch short arm lift.

Not possible, bigjeep, is full of poop, on this one. Tell us more about what happened before you noticed the sag. Did you go wheeling, or do a jump, or extended your suspension completely out, in any way? Or did this happen, after just driving to work, and back?

bmxstreet15 Ok thanks, Well I drove it around a bit and it still leans but now it is only 1/2". It is still noticeable though. The springs are all in thier pocket and the shocks are old but still working. Could it be that my front sway bar is out of adjustment?

bluvikng Your springs do not have retainer clips on them, to hold them in place on the seating plates. Make sure the ends of your springs, are sitting in the proper place, on the plates. I have had to adjust ours, a time, or two. You can buy the clips, to hold them in position, but they do not come with them. Go figure.

This usually happens after flexing to the max.

Leaning TJ

Ok so i got home today from a trip into town and notice that my jeep was leaning to the drivers side. I did some measuring and it is sitting about 1/2-3/4 of an inch higher on the passenger side rear wheel. the front is only 1/4 inch high on the passenger side. I am stumped. Should I try driving it around a little to see if it levels off? I have no Idea what would cause this. I need some help here.
