The higher you go, the more things you have to swap/upgrade to keep things from braking and keep handling safe.

I know plenty of people that wheel on 35's with 2.5" of lift; I have 33's and no lift on my Sahara ---- rear tires rub the fenders at full stuff due to the backspacing of my aftermarket wheels.

Take a look at the Nth Degree 3.5" lift; it's fairly comprehensive.

Maybe it's my age, but I really don't understand people that lift their vehicles because "it looks good"....

Front and rear dana 44 axles with locking diffs for traction
4:1 T-case
4.11 gears

Over all a far better jeep to put big tires on. However happy wife equals happy life so keep that in mind.

Do you have money for 40's?

Don't forget to regear ---- and maybe buy axles if you go over 35's.

Welcome and shop around for your planned lift....This has to be done "correct" with no corners cut... if you want to go for the 5 inch..

Be sure you select the right gearing...

Enjoy the new toy..

Hilldweller Welcome aboard.
Tell us more about yourself and how you plan to use the Jeep; then we can suggest how to spend your money.
5" of lift is pretty ambitious for just 35's, especially on a Sahara...
