tj carpet "fixin"
Hey !!I think the carpet turned out great-----but I guess what that depends on is what shape the carpet is really in to start with.Mine was dirty which says clean it.But as far as the coloring goes I think it turned out great. But you will have to go with a darker color.Mine was light grey and I went to a mid to dark shade of blue.I'm very pleased with how it turned out.Hope. this helps you.

tj carpet "fixin"
Thanks for the replys.I finally got my power washer running and cleaned the carpet. It is clean but only looks a little better.I stopped by NAPA today and they had a rattle can of carpet dye by Sem I think.I have used one can but will have to p/u another to finish.I think it will look OK after the second coat. Will for sure be the cheapest way out. Thanks again for the replys.

|JimsJeep||Took mine out and soaked it with a cleaner and hit it with my power washer. It turned out quite good.|

|Wheel2Work||You can use spray dye (Dupliciolor) to "fix" the carpet, but you have to use a darker shade for it to work. You'll never be able to match the color or cover stains unless you use the darker shade.|

I actually just bought a full factory carpet set in my interior color off ebay for around a 100 bucks. Its got some staining in places but really isn't too bad. Though I bought my jeep with it not having any carpet. With that I got some Mopar factory slush mats too. Normally I'm not big on carpet in a wrangler, but I just had a kid and I wanted to make it a little more quieter and warmer inside in the winter for him. Plus its removable if needed for off road trips..Now I just need to fix all my heater problems..
I think the cell phone and lighting make it look worse than what it really is..

|MichTJ||I recently bought new carpet from Rugged Ridge, it was around $150. You do have to cut parts for the seat brackets yourself but it works good, looks clean and doesn't smell. Not factory original fit but works nonetheless|

|ChasUGC||Yeah, I plan to change my carpeting too after 16 years. Mine was cut in the corner when they installed my alarm or new sound system. And, the frame has a rough weld that made a small hole in my carpet. But, I don't not relish the idea of spending $600 dollars for new factory molded carpet. There are some fairly cheap non-molded carpet that you can buy, that are good quality. But, I like factory originals myself.|

Ya'll are going to think I am crazy but here goes----with all the mods for our jeeps--has anybody tried refreshing the color or completely changed the color of their carpet?? I was hoping that pressure washing would help a little at restoring the color but not so although it is clean.
