roadyrob a 4 bbl would be way to big for a 2.8, smallest you can get would be a holley 390 cfm and they are hard to find cheap. not really familiar with the rochester but its about the right size for the motor, if it looks decent try rebuilding, a kit doesn't cost much.

harleydragon I would probably stick with the rochester but thats just me and doesn't mean that is best

Need some carbuerator help

Ok so I am just going to stick with the 2.8l v6 that is currently residing in my jeep. My dilemma is to stick with the Rochester varajet that is currently on it and rebuild it. It also came with a offenhauser dual port 4bbl manifold. Or do I put that on and get a 4bbl carb? If so what is a decent reasonably priced 4bbl?
