This. I don't even watch for a return wave half the time, but it's hardly an imposition to wave in the first place.

1. Always return a wave regardless of vehicle type. This is just good manners! I have lived in several locals where waving to an oncoming vehicle was standard and has nothing to do with Jeeps

2. No longer wave at JKU's that are bone stock. Sorry guys, experience has just shown that those drivers are oblivious to it all.

To me, the wave is a way to be friendly to those who may be out on the trail with you, and who may be in position to either help you out or not! I don't see it as a club of people who have the same badge on their vehicle.
Wow.

dpostman I would add that when driving around in my naked Jeep, and meet up another naked Jeep, the wave seems way more enthusiastic... more like a Drive-By hug.
dpostman I have a CB Antenna... Does that count... can I get a wave?

Haha, my bad! I don't mind that the newer JKs don't wave (when they don't) because they just don't get it. It just makes me sad drivers (and like I mentioned, it seems to mostly be women who aren't waving in this area) who have older models or ones outfitted for offroading not carrying on the tradition. It's one of the great things about having a jeep!

When I was entertaining the idea of trading in my truck, I went to the local dealership and found myself educating the sales guy who had been there for all of a month. I was telling him things about the Wranglers which is made far more pathetic by the fact that I honestly knew very little at the time. As you might expect, I bought my Jeep at a different dealership.

I absolutely LOVE running around naked... however when its 115+ that tends to get a little warm when you are having to drive in town... When the summer finally takes a hike you can bet your happy ass I'll be strippin to nothin but my runnin shoes!
