|Jstraw||I investigated more before I reinstalled... There seems to be some kind if plastic liner inside and topping the receiving hinge, it's the consistency of a McDonald's straw, a black rubberized plastic. Most of this liner stuff got tore up, only 2 stayed in tact. I have a 2013 rubicon. I bought lithium grease and lathered them up, bit the the the worst hinges didn't want to seat properly. Should I dug the plastic out and go metal on metal? The doors were a bitch to remove because of that lining.|

|igivup||You could replace the bushing with Delrin bushings, they stand up well, and won't corrode like the stock ones. Makes it easy to remove the doors.|

|Scott2373||As far as I can see, there is a metal bushing permanently installed inside the hinge. I use Never Seize on mine to prevent rust and keep them easy to take off and replace.|

Door removal BUSHINGS?
I just removes my doors for the first time in my 13 JKUR, should there be plastic bushings between the hinge? There seems to be some kind of rubber substance but they don't look like they protect the hinge from metal on metal... Is there a bushing that should be there?
