i cut the battery terminal clamps off the wires and put on some new ones
tightened them down and now it started no problem
hopefully that was the issue
thanks for the input gents

i'm going to take all the covering off the wires today and check those.
radio will turn on when i turn the key backwards, then i turn on the hazard lights and it makes a grinding sound an the radio goes off

get out and shake the positive cable and try to start no go do same with ground cable these things can be coroaded under the plastic on the cable and not let juice go thru. does not happen very often but just a thought.

|4point||Maybe loose grounds elsewhere. Check all grounds for tight.|

i tighten them last week
then on monday i had my mechanic just give it a quick look over and he said he checked all the connections
they are nice and tight right now
just also did something weird, if i have the keys in the ignition and the door open then press the door button it does a little half beep, also if i turn the hazard lights on it makes a grinding noise but no lights
is something causing a short?

|4point||Have you had the battery load tested? Often they can show good voltage but fail when a load applied.|

|Jerry Bransford||How certain are you that both of your battery terminal connections are truly tight, secure, and problem-free? Yes I know you said you cleaned them but...|

had some issues last friday with it not starting or any electrical working
then after a few minutes everything worked. cleaned the batter terminals checked ground wire. checked for cut or loose wires, found nothing unusual.
worked fine all week, no issues
now today get home from work turn it off then 10 min later go to start it and nothing. no lights, no radio, no beeps when the door is open and key in the ignition, no gauges move, no dome lights
checked the battery with a voltmeter and it shows it has normal voltage.
