Isn't that the picture of what's actually in the kit?

The hooks appear again in picture 4 on the 2nd page where they are showing the new front bumper going on after the old front bumper was pulled off in picture 3.

They aren't showing the hooks being taken off of the old bumper and put back on the new one anywhere in the doc that I can find.

Is there something in 82213653.pdf other other than these 2 pics that shows that the tow hooks are not part of the kit?

Tim

I stand corrected, After contacting mopar hotline and reviewing other cases that were called in the bumper should include 2 Red tow hooks for the front.

Sorry for the confusion

10a front bumper tow hooks in 82213653 kit ?

It looks to me like the pictures in http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213653.pdf show that the tow hooks are part of the 10a front bumper kit.

Mopar Online Parts Hi Tim, I will answer your questions inline

1) I hate to beat this to death but the pics I see of the front 10a kit 82213654 shows that the front kit does include the red front tow hooks while the back kit 82213653 does not include the back hooks. Earlier in this thread it sounded like neither kit has tow hooks. Which is correct ?

Your part numbers are reversed but nonetheless you are basing this off of images. The front tow hooks are not included in the front or rear bumper kit but are sold separately. The install PDF serves as an excellent parts list of whats included.
http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213654.pdf
http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213653.pdf

2) I see 10a skid plates posted for sale but the kit instructions just seem to show the existing air dam being removed not reused and nothing put back in its place. Is there really a special skid plate for the 10a and is it more substantial than the stock rubi air dam?

There is a close out plate part # 68186598AA listed exclusively for 10A bumpers, I think this may be what you are referring to. We can add this item to our accessory section if you are interested. Current pricing is as follows:
PANEL-CLOSE OUT
Make: Jeep | Part#: 68186598AA
List Price: $522.00
Your Price: $359.95

3) Are 10a red rear tow hooks different than stock rubi tow hooks on my vin other than the coating and color? I think someone said they were thicker is that true?

I am sorry but I have no way of knowing this as specification are not given out. With that being said I am sure there are some members on this wonderful forum who have came across the same inquiry and may be able to input some information on this.

4) Would my existing left rear tow hook be OK as it appears from the instructions, and if so what would be the part for the matching right side for a 2015 rubi (not a red 10a one, I mean a right side black one to match my existing left side)

I believe so as well based on the instructions. For this you would use 2 Left side ones as there is no Right side Black one listed:
HOOK-TOW
Make: Jeep | Part#: 4680647AA
List Price: $132.00
Your Price: $90.68

5) Are there any other parts needed to convert a 2015 rubi to use the front/rear 10a kits?

Only the bumper kits themselves are "required" but as we are discussing you can customize the installation by adding the skid plates, tow hooks and winch

6) I saw that you can't negotiate freight shipping but is that true for the ups shipping for these kits as well? 339 to my zip seems like an awful lot for ups for that weight. I saw earlier that you have a forum shipping coupon code for checkout is that just for small stuff or certain members?

Please provide me with your zip code so I can be sure the rates shown are fair.

Thanks,
Benny

Larry your Jeep is equipped with a standard mirror not auto dimming. The harness I would recommend is 68165059AB because this also includes a sales code of RSP (uconnect voice command) which your vehicle has. The 68160846AB wiring excludes this sales code. The mirror if you do not already have it would be part # 68158203AB .

These items can be ordered from our repair parts catalog here Repair Parts

A Power Dome

I have seen your Jeep Wrangler Power Dome Hood Kit (Part No: 68184708ABKIT) but needed your reassurance that it contained all parts - nothing worse than stopping half way through a project because of missing parts. Thanks for your confirmation Benny, I am ordering the kit straight away

Washer parts - fantastic! thanks for the advice!!

What about the RUBICON stickers? are they part of the kit?

B Bumpers.

The term "kits" and "exclude" can be confusing.

To achieve the full 10th Ann. look are you confirming that we need:-

1- Jeep Wrangler Bumper (Part No: 82213653) and
2- Rear Jeep Wrangler Bumper (Part No: 82213654) and
3- Jeep Wrangler Tow Hook (Part No: 68186562AB) and
4- Jeep Wrangler Tow Hook (Part No: 10AREARHOOKKIT)

If this gives me the full OEM look of the 10th Ann. I will place the order straight away, hopefully you will be able to confirm this.

C Winch

1- Jeep Wrangler Winch (Part No: 82213746)
2- Jeep Wrangler Winch Mounting Kit (Part No: 82213840)

Great stuff Benny! Thanks!

I know it is possible to source these things from different suppliers at margnially better prices, but there is a lot to be said about saving time and just buying it all from one source.

How do I place a single order for everything and still get that great price for the washers?

EDIT:

Can't get the washers in on the same order!

Total cost, including shipping to Oregon but without the washers = $5,870.79 (click here)

Are you sure we can't get better shipping rates Benny? UPS 2-day charges more than the whole upgrade!!

Hi Rocky,

Pardon me if I miss anything going forward as there is much detail being discussed.

The Rubicon decals are sold separately here Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Graphic (Part No: 68200547AA)

Bumpers:
Yes to the best of my knowledge and based on these installation PDF's that is all you need to convert to the 10A look.
http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213654.pdf
http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213653.pdf

Washer Nozzles:
We will be adding the washer nozzles to that section so one checkout can be made for all items

Shipping will be via freight hence the cost, I am sorry but we cannot negotiate this cost

Export parts are not available for U.S dealers to purchase. I may be able to dig up a part number though , Can you provide pics for this so I am clear on what you are looking for.

The full bumper is shown being replaced in the instructions http://www.moparonlineparts.com/docs/82213653.pdf

I own, since new, a gorgeous and very well loved 2008 2-Door Rescue Green Rubicon with only 20k miles on the clock. Sorry, but I really had little chance to use it much, and now the trade-in price makes it more worth my while to keep it and to upgrade it.

Anyway, last year I bought a grey 10A Unlimited and have decided to upgrade my old 2008 Wrangler to give it the 10th Ann look for my girl.

I hope you can help me with the first three stages of this project:-

Stage 1- To source and quote everything needed to upgrade the 10th Ann Hood, together with all the parts/components such as the dual wiper jets etc. - I hope you can list the parts and prices so that I can just order, pay and complete the upgrade without coming back to you for more missing bits and pieces to complete the upgrade. I know the hood is easily available, but I would really prefer to deal with you guys who would best know precisely what other bits and pieces I will need to complete this 1st job.

People forget simple things like the "Rubicon" stickers on the bonnet and stuff, which is why it is best dealing direct I guess.

Stage 2 - Same thing with the 10A front and rear bumper kits. I know there are better bumpers for the money, but I like the look and feel of these 10th Ann units. So, really, I need all the 10th Ann bits and pieces, right down to the GENUINE - THICKER than stock - 10th Ann. red tow hooks etc to complete this second stage of my upgrade.

3- Third and last stage is 10th Ann Winch (or rather the winch which was specified for the 10th Ann) plus all parts/components/accessories to complete the upgrade

Any major changes needed to convert the old 2008 Rubi to a makeshift 10th Ann I ought to be aware of before going on the buying spree would be greatly appreciated.

Hey thanks for all the effort so far Benny, you're obviously one of the site's stars but if you could help me get this project under way I would be really really grateful.

Shipping will be to Oregon.

Thanks

Rocky

Hi Rocky,

I will do my best to provide as much information as possible to get an accurate quote. Most of the items you requested are listed on our website already and shipping can easily be quoted by providing you zip code in the shopping cart.

The following link is for the hood kit we offer Jeep Wrangler Power Dome Hood Kit (Part No: 68184708ABKIT)

You mentioned the washer nozzles and I do see the 08's are different so these can be added for the following cost
NOZZLE-WINDSHIELD WASHER
Make: Jeep | Part#: 68164356AB
List Price: $7.10
Your Price: $4.89 each
The washer hose is the same and can be transferred over.

We have sold quite a few of these hood kits and I cannot think of anything else that may be needed along with it.

As for the bumpers Mopar offers complete kits which can be found within the following links Jeep Wrangler Bumper (Part No: 82213653) and for the rear Jeep Wrangler Bumper (Part No: 82213654)

Tow hooks are not included with wither bumper. We are putting together kits and will list them soon

The exclusive 10th Anniversary winch can be found here Jeep Wrangler Winch (Part No: 82213746) but also requires this mounting kit Jeep Wrangler Winch Mounting Kit (Part No: 82213840)

All of the items listed are compatible with your 2008. Please review the information carefully and let me know if you have any questions.

We will work on the Red hooks and will update this thread once completed.

EDIT: Red tow hooks have been added to our site:
