Rockworm Hey, great thread.

A wheeling buddy just sent me the link. I'm usually on JF.

Anywho, nice to see some 'this year' pics and reports on the trail. I'll try to check in on this site more often since I'm local.

and just for the halibut, one of my fav pics on the Dusy a few years ago.

I hear you...I like the stairs the way they are...I don't really see the point in rebuilding them.

WOKNROX Yeah I guess they need the stairs to be 3 sides of the tower now for code...
That'll be a lot of work right their.

Bigg Ed The Clovis club is heading that up. They want 1 or 2 people from each of the 8 area clubs to help, so it's a community effort.

I haven't been contacted,I have e pretty full plate with the toilet project.

Anyone use the lantern hook? Just one of the little finishing touches we added.
You guys are also going to be taking on the project of rebuilding the lookout tower on Bald Mtn to right ?

Bigg Ed We put rigs without trailers between the ones with trailers in case they need a strap, that also puts people there to move rocks, spot, or whatever else is needed. Last year we had to loosen straps, push the wall to one side of the trailer, have the guy pull the trailer forward, push the wall to the other side of the trailer, have him pull forward some more, then recenter the wall and tighten the straps, just to get through a section of trees.

He's the only one that needed that, the others must have approached it differently. It's always an adventure running the trail with wall sections.

solvang100 The pink was probably the faded red showing under the rattle can camo. The Bronco had serious carb problems the whole time. He left Shaver Lake with 3/4 of a tank of gas and 1 five gallon can of gas. By mid day two he used his spare gas and two other rigs spare gas, bought 5 gallons from some one at Ershim Lake and then ran out of gas when we reached pavement. Very poorly prepared rig/driver. He had a hard time opening or closing his doors by the end of the trip. Any one can have a breakdown or mechanical problem on the trail but poor preperation/vehicle condition jeopardizes every ones trip.

Bigg Ed Front wall to the new toilet at Thompson Lake, if you look at it from the inside you will see where we repaired the top of the wall.

I saw it go in, one of its colors was pink. I remember thinking it was too low, and they didn't know what they were getting into.

WOKNROX I thought so...nice guy but he beat the hell out of his Bronco at Hi Desert Roundup on Matino wash... when I first saw it before I held the drivers meeting it didn't have a dent in it and I was a little worried about it....he said he was working on a set of sliders for it....sure could've used them that day.
Nice rig...needs lower gears...glad he's still out having fun.

I thought so, I thought you looked familiar when I saw your pic on a previous page. I was standing there when everyone was talking, Marlin took the picture. I'm connecting more and more people from forum to trail this year.
