Sandhara pretty sure its 5/8" with 5/8" threads (not 100% sure on threads but im pretty sure thats correct). and its nothing more than a hime joint at the top screwed into a rod with a hollow rubber bushing at the bottom that slides over a stud connecting to the axle (with a cotter pin to hold it on).

MR.CLIFFORD it might be a better solution to get pictures of your current setup. Not every heim joint is created equal. Most have different threads and sizes. Do you know for sure which bolt size you have on yours?

Vector6 how long ago did he buy the "cheapest ones he could find" ?

Im willing to bet they lasted the "less than $10 for both " worth.

MR.CLIFFORD these are nice.

But at that cost why not just ditch the home made jobbers and go with some really proven quicker disconnects? I have these on my wifes jeep and love them!

Hime joints on sway bar

so my jeep came with home made quick disconnect on the front and the hime joints on it are shot. How strong of a hime joint do i need to buy? (by strength i mean static radial load).
i asked the last owner (my uncle) he said the just bought the cheapest ones rod end supply sold, so im not supplied they are shot.

-Thanx
