Gyrocat Just got the rear done. The Jeep did not wooble any at those locations. I think that I will find some rubber caps for the top of the jack stands as placing them on the frame and not extensions welded to the frame would be a better option. Placing wood on a jack seems plausible but on top of stands doesnot seem safe. Thanx for the reply.

kjeeper10 Is that a safe spot ?
I always had troubles but made it work. Just picked up the rubber caps thinking they might help.

Gyrocat Overthnking the issue. used the rear of my rock rails that are attached to the frame. Works like a charm, almost done. Hope the Rancho 9000xl shocks live up to their reputation.

Gyrocat Also the Jackstands I am using are Harbour Freight 6 ton on a 2011 JKU. The amount of touching s little, but I don't know if this would cause a problem or not. Maybe I am overthinking this issue.

rear jackstand position passenger side

Working on my Rancho 2 inch sport lift this weekend and ran into a curious problem. Where do you safely put the jackstands on the passenger side of the vehicle? If I put them behind the lower control arm frame position it looks like the foot will touch the gas tank. Should I put some wood between the foot and the frame or is there a better solution?
