They are the older style poison spyder DeFender series. They have changed the look now with a squared off edge now. The new ones look more like the old MB fenders to me. Great protection and great clearance. They also make a great table for tools and beverage of choice while working.

For my Jeep, I researched the markings here:
WWII Unit Identification Markings for U.S. Military Vehicles, Jeep and Truck Bumper Markings (LoneSentry.com)
There are several places to buy the stars, reg. numbers and bumper numbers:
solargraphicsUSA.com - Restoration Decals
USMC Military Jeep Decals decal stars restoration Willys M37 M38 - $39.00 : House of Grafx, Your One Stop Vinyl Graphics Shop
Military Decals Stickers Insignia Vinyl | Military-Graphics.com Home
I'm currently restoring a WWII Jeep and am using OD paint by Gillespie Coatings I bought through Army Jeep parts. Here are the particulars:

|TigWizard||My son and I want to turn our 91 into a tribute to my dad. He served in the Army, 3rd Infantry, 10th Engineers, HQ Company in the early sixties. This thread has given me a ton of ideas. Any tips/suggestions? I was thinking OD green paint job, some Army stencils/decals, maybe some HQ stencils on the bumpers, and some 3rd ID markings. Thanks in advance.|

A Storm Mark III was set to be produced for the Israeli defense forces starting in June 2008, when the IDF will purchase around 600 vehicles beginning in early 2011. Based on the new four-door Jeep Wrangler JK design, the Mark III is meant to address some of the shortfalls of the current Mark II. Whereas the previous vehicle was an update of the original Storm, the Storm III was designed from the outset for a five-door configuration. Unlike the JK, the new Storm has a much higher maximum load in part due to heavier-duty shock absorbers, necessary for an armored version. It includes a standard 2.8L VM Motori turbodiesel and automatic transmission.
Like the Storm II, the Mark III was initially available only to the military with versions set to be delivered to the Israel Police in 2009. A civilian version will only be released if the local tax code is modified to allow it to compete with foreign imports of the same class. AIL states that if such thing will happen, a petrol engine version could be offered. Regarding Export markets, the Storm 3 has already seen use in several countries, especially in its armored version.
A pair of production J8's was tested by Israeli web magazine Jeepolog.com journalists in April 2009. It was dubbed "probably, the best Jeep ever".

I bought this 2013 JKU Sport bone stock back in January. I've been slowly working on moding it. Slowly, because the wife is making me mod the house first. LOL
I'm almost done, I'm going for more of the WWII, North Africa desert raider look. Everyone around here is either completely stock or has the same 3.5" lift with 35"s and covered in steel bumper and rock sliders. Most of them have never been dirty. (I check on top of the gas tank skid plate to see. That is the hardest spot to get the dirt out of.)
2" leveling kit, 32" BFG Mud Terrains, Rough Country Stubby bumper mod, removed all factory decals and badges. (Rock Rails are coming for Christmas) Debating if I want to paint the rims black. After taking the silver decals off, the Alloy rims arn't killing me. Black would be cooler though.
I have noticed a trend in Marines liking the Commando Green. My 8 year old daughter called it Marine green the first time she saw it. I was so proud.

|87 Florida YJ||I added this for security when I leave the jeep alone. I don't know if its working or that people are just afraid of getting caught stealing from a Marine. Either way its cool for me.|
