Gruson Man, we went to 121 and Custer and had no idea there were some serious trails there. My wife and I are newbies, it's been 20 years since I went offroading, and own a 2014 Sahara Altitude and would not even want to attempt some of the trails there.

No cops around either, ended up in a new development area. There are some steep ones there.

Cajun-in-tx The wife and I are planing to head to bridgeport on Saturday. Texas jeeps is doing a wheeling 101 class, my wife is going to drive the trails.

I finally got my rock rails in and will have them primed, painted and installed by the weekend (assuming this rain stops).

blade4804 I love Bridgeport OHV. Always something new. The trails change all the time cuz people move rocks or shift dirt, so even tho you are going up the same rock path, it's different almost every time because stuff has moved.
06-13-2014 11:28 AM
Cajun-in-tx DetroitRodeo you can also check out YouTube for Bridgeport OHV park. I will say most of the videos on there are of the more aggressive trails (as with most things on YouTube). But it will give you the idea of the terrain and such.

DetroitRodeo Great information! Thank you! I'm not worried too much about folks slowing me down, definitely the other way around. I just like to casually ride and enjoy the day, and mud is always good

Cajun-in-tx Another thing about the park I like is they have trails that tend to stay dry due to the rocks, trails they were very muddy, and several big pools of water you could ride through or around if you wanted.

The point being you could go there and come back with you jeep covered in mud such that you couldn't tell what color it was or you could go topless with no doors and get little to no mud inside the vehicle. Just depends on what you Like and where you want to go.

Cajun-in-tx IMO not for the size of the place. I suggest you go as a group or plan to meet up with someone for your first time. Not mandatory but going with someone who has been just makes things easier IMO. They do give you a map when you enter the park and if you wanted you could probably find a group once you got there that would be happy for you to tag along. Everyone I meet out they're was nice and willing to lend a hand or tools if needed. You will run into other vehicles in open areas but we didn't encounter any they slowed us down on the trails. They have lots of open areas for people to have lunch or congregate throughout the park. They have a Facebook page that may tell you how many jeeps they get on an average weekend, you could post and ask. I know they are closed this weekend for a private event.

DetroitRodeo Cajun - is Bridgeport usually busy? I'm not a big crowd wheeler type.
06-12-2014 11:54 AM
Cajun-in-tx For me it's just easier to head up to Bridgeport. It's only a hour away straight down 380. The area is huge, trails are kept up, plenty to do for all skill levels, free air compressor on exit to top off tires, lots of great people out there, no concern of trespassing.

GeorgiaTJ06 I've been to Custer and 121 plenty of times. The field next to the closed gate is for farming, people got caught driving on it. The rest is there for jeeps and whatever else.
06-07-2014 08:52 AM
dabshire I been over on the back side last couple of days this week just driving around. The hills are fenced off with irrigation control. Didn't go back there in that part.
06-06-2014 07:29 PM
lilred07 You've been wanting to go to bport. I'm still not convinced that there is a real issue at 121 and Custer. Anybody else had any trouble over there?
06-06-2014 09:06 AM
PostmanZero That is a bummer... Guess we have to drive all the way out to bridgeport now?
