Sadle I watched a JKU burn to the ground a few years ago after a guy took his young kids through some grassy fields. They had just pulled back in the drive and got out when he noticed it so thankfully nobody was hurt.
Definately be careful when driving over brown,dead stuff.

Brush? Really nothing needed. Def invest in a good fire extinguisher and keep it handy for sure.

I'm most concerned about damage caused by branches so I definitely think I'd be better off with aluminum.
Maybe my priority should be engine/transmission armor since that will be the first part to scrape past branches. Will definitely look at the EVO and MORE armor recommendations tonight! Will be nice bonus to have the Fumoto valve!

|mckey73||I really like the M.O.R.E. skid plate, good coverage and sturdy mounting. I'm not fond of the skids that mount to the engine block. With any skid plate you get replace your oil drain plug with a Fumoto valve. The part # for the 3.6 is F-106N.|

Evap would be good, though that's more for rock crawling. Relocate it and you won't need the skid.
Other than that, all armor is going to help. I bought the Evo 3 piece skid that protect the oil pan, transmission, and exhaust. It's a setup they have for the '12, but they make the skids for all years and their prices are great.
However, I do mainly rock crawling. For brush, you should go with aluminium to save weight. Up to you though, the aluminium skids are much more expensive. Steel is stronger, but heavier.

Under armor for driving through brush
What armor would you recommend to protect the undercarriage when driving through brush? I don't think I'll be doing any rock crawling but I'll definitely be driving on trails that are overgrown. I'm new to this but it seems like a branches/etc could play havoc!
Is there something that should absolutely be bought first and other armor panels that are a lower priority?
From what I've seen, the EVAP skid should probably be at the top of the list right?
