Installed it today

Took about 2 1/4 hours

More than 2 hours was getting the stock exhaust off with soapy water, wd40, grease, ball joint separator (don't ask), and a large cresent wrench. And that was just the drivers side. Passenger side I said fugg it and cut off the hanger with a dremel (only cut half into the hanger, it simply broke off after that with some elbow grease). To remove the muffler from the tail pipe, just a ton of wd40 and rotate back and forth.

Hint: if you do this in your garage, put some cardboard down to soak up the wd40 (doh!)

Took 15 min to install the axleback. Greased the hangers and they slid right in

Sounds great, somewhat noticable and I have top off, carpet off, drainplugs out. Sitting in the driveway, I had to tell myself I heard it. Drove around the block and it is not bothersome at all. My wife, kids, dog, and neighbor will appreciate that it is not booming loud. Very Very subtle if you ask me

tlminh Search for "afe exhaust" on the anythingauto website and it will link you to 17% off
I ordered mine at 1030pm and got a tracking number by 330pm the next day
However, if you look at their reviews on yelp or google, they're not a very reliable company based on those online reviews

Search around, there are plenty of coupon codes, try insure30. Or click to get a free newsletter and you get 15% off your first purchase

Some link on the anythingauto site gave me 17% off, you have to search around for it

I cut and pasted my cart here

"(MACH Force XP Series - Cat Back System) 2012 Jeep Wrangler Qty: 1 $314.10 $260.70"

Good luck!

Knuckles65 I just pulled the trigger on the axle back version. $280.38 through Amazon with free shipping.

I didn't want to remove both the resonator and the muffler. I'm hoping there will be a little more sound.

The exhaust system should be here some time this week. Got an evap skid from RROR I ordered as well; think it was about a week lead time on that. Going to put them both on at the same time.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Seems aFe doesn't have a whole lot for a 2 door.

I had great success with Borla cat-back products on other cars, I would have to look into their product for the JK when I am in the market.

Out of curiosity, do you have an automatic or stick. I ask because when I am going down the highway at 70, I am sitting at 2500-2700 RPM with an automatic. Makes a difference.

I currently have the DynoMax Evo Competition on, which I really like the sound of driving around town, however at 70 mph goin on the highway, it is pretty loud with quite a bit of drone. Not sure if I can deal with it yet or not, so thinking about AFE.

Also, for those asking about the Dynomax dual exhaust axel back system above, I had that one at one point as well. It is decent in that I liked the dual exhaust look, however it is not much louder than stock. Wasn't for me.
