Sorry it has taken so long for me to update on this. As of yet I haven't done anything. I have contacted Hella and done a bit more research as well and I have changed my mind entirely.
I decided that the 8 inch Hella's are just too big for the windshield mounts, and the compacts have to be bought in pieces which is kinda of a pain. Also I wanted Euro beams because of the light spread which they don't offer in a compact.
KC has since come out with some HID lights with internal ballasts which are bright as hell and considerably cheaper than the Hella lights are. They also come in 6 and 8 inch size. I'm going to get some of the 8 in for the bumper and 6 in for the windshield.
They are the 851 and 640 Pro Sport lights.

looks like they have them in, driving, pencil, and fog.
I have the 4000's in full size on my bumper, all I can say is WOW!
Looks like the are on sale too!

Hella Rallye Lights on windshield mounts...
OK, so I have KC Slimlights on my windshield already, however, I am going to put on an ARB Bull Bar on my 06 LJ and I want to put the Hella Rallye 4000 Euro beams on it. So my thought then to keep things the same would be to change the Slimlights out for some Hellas. HOWEVER, I have not seen any Jeeps with the 8" Hella lights on the windshield. I think they will be a bit big in that location. Hella makes a compact version that is 6" round, but only inthe pencil beam. Thoughts? Comments? Pics?
