D.B. In response to the significant number of emails and request for information on how the club is going and how to become a member please see below:

If your interested in becoming a member of Indy Jeep Junkies Please visit our website www.indyjeepjunkies.com. Once you sign up you will receive an email with basic information about the club and how to become more involved with meets and events.

The club has meet/events every third Saturday of the month and we also schedule a number of side events through the month.

Indy Jeep Junkies is NOT a hardcore off road club! We cater to all Jeep types and driver experience levels from stock to rock. Our events range from BBQ's, cruises and planned trips to off road parks.

Our club is by far the most active then any other Jeep club in the central Indiana area. Our meet/events have an average member attendance of 20 Jeeps and our last event we had 25 jeeps and over 50 participants in attendance. Anyone is welcome to follow us on @indyjeepjunkies and you can view event videos at our YouTube channel Indy Jeep Junkies.

Please feel free to contact me, DB club founder/coordinator, at indyjeepjunkies@yahoo.com with any questions or for additional information.

Keep Jeeping

It's nothing to write home about, but you can kill an hour or two messing around back there. There are some decent small obstacles/climbs and several criss-crossing trails. There is plenty of mud in a different section, if that's your thing, but I prefer trails to 30 seconds of fun followed by 6 hours of cleaning.
I don't know if it is still accessible, but Beaver Quarry up off River Rd in Hamilton County had some pretty damn decent trails last time I was up there.
I'd love to know about any other spots in the area. It'd be nice to not have to drive for an hour to kick it in four wheel drive.

The only entrance I know of is across from OmniSource on West St. I was just down there the other day, as a matter of fact. I'd love to know if there are more. There was an entrance on the other side of the river off of Kentucky and Morris, but they are blocked off by construction equipment now. They appear to be paving some kind of pathway along the river heading up toward White River Park.

If anyone just wants to do a little urban exploring and see if we can find more trail heads, just let me know. I'm done pretty much any time.

D.B. For those Indy Jeep Junkies members who are not on Facebook yet here is an update on recent activity.

The Facebook group page has started to really take off......there is constant activity and members are really doing a great job of using the resource for all kinds of communications. We are now live with twitter at @indyjeepjunkies and we also have a YouTube channel "indyjeepjunkies".

We have had a few members getting together and hitting some of the local central indianapolis public access spots for some off highway experience before the badlands trip on the 21st.

If your interested in doing the same I am currently setting up two times (one on saturday and one on sunday) this coming weekend to go out again with folks......if your interested email me. If not we will see you at this months meet/activity!

Not many people signed up on that Eventbrite page, but many have on FB page.
I've HEARD more people saying they will be there than actually showing interest on the net.

@ D.B. I apologize, i'll be PM'ing you next!

Some of the options confuse me a bit. Wanted to talk with the group before making the big purchase. Any chance I could get invited into that FB group, or maybe better to post inside here?
Wanted to follow up since I haven't heard from you since I responded to you initial post. If you have questions that you need help with I founded and currently coordinate Indy Jeep Junkies and would be more than happy to answer questions you may have.

In regards to the FB page it's a private group page for club members.

Get with me in that and we can plan an event with the club. We already have one all day event planned for our September meet but I am sure we can gather some members.

I listed my email in my initial response. Indyjeepjunkies@yahoo.com
