Cal21Guy i have a Thule Vertex 4 swing, and it works fine with stock 2013 JKU Sport S rear tire.
Only thing is to be sure it is all the way open before opening tailgate.

Advjeep X2 on the north shore racks! I have beat mine up on rocks, even using the rack as an anchor point to pull my buddy out of a mud hole strongest rack I have ever used!

jk'n On closer examination of the rack above, I see support members that go from the front bar to the rear bar on both sides. This looks like it would interfere with lowering and raising the top. I think the body armor has the support rails outside the travel area of the top. Here is a link to the body armor picture.

I got the deluxe model and the bike repair stand. The "B" tongue extender to get my 16 foot kayak on there without extending over the hitch. This solution works great when I am pulling multiple kayaks. I can get up to 6 kayaks on it. Possibly up to 8 depending on how heavy the total load is. It was a little pricy at about 2700.00. Almost as expensive as my haulmark covered 6X10 trailer. I put the kayak trailer inside the haulmark when camping for extended periods.

When I want to go kayaking by myself, or just my wife and me, I'm thinking the above setup would be ideal. Especially the setup that shows the canoe on top. I already have the "j" kayak supports made by Yakima. I wonder if they will fit on those cross bars. I have also been looking at the rack made by body armor but have not heard any good reviews about that rack yet. The body armor claims bolt on and it works with both the soft top and hard top.

If you got the dollars to afford this one, I can tell you it is effortless to open the tail gate. The bikes swing out and away from the vehicle and then the tail gate can be operated without connecting with the bikes. The entire hitch is beefy and no worries about overloading it. I have had four adult bikes on it and it doesn't grunt or groan under the load. Thule makes an adapter bar that allows female bikes and mountain bikes without the cross bar to fit onto the rack. I consider it to be a great product. I'm very satisfied with it.

Trent i ended up with a Thule spare mount bike rack (963)... it bolts through the spare wheel. I am able to still open the rear gate with two bikes still on rack. I didn't want to remove bike and rack to get into rear of the car

daggo66 Try this

Ape I have a Yakima hitch mount... but it does interfere with the spare. So I am purchasing an extender: - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
That way I can use the rack and if I still need to tow a trailer, I can.
