|BIG TJ||Hey man... I just had to replace my a/c compressor. The clutch seized up on it which is not a good thing....causes the serpentine belt to start burning and all kinds of stuff can happen if you run it like that. It may just be your BELT though....and not the compressor. I would put some belt dressing on and if the sound continues, take it off, then see if there's a pulley not turning well or not at all. I went and bought a used compressor for about 100 bucks and put it in myself. You'll need to take it to a garage that has the ability to charge the freon in the new one though. You'll also have pressure in your lines, and they'll need to release that as well then vacuum the new one before you charge it. Hope you find out whats going on! Good luck!|

a/c makes a loud sqweeking noise?
it makes a loud sqweeking noise when i start my jeep itts a 1998 but then it goes awa after bout 2 min buf if i start it with the a/c off and turn it on it dosent happen
