ravecrusader Where is TX are you? I am in the DFW area and there are a few jeep only junk yards that would be a good spot to get what you need.

1988YJ101 Thanks I have been on Craigslist it seems that the windshield frame is a hit and miss.
Guess I will hunt down the junk yards or order it from 4Wheel Parts.
Just wanting to paint everything today.

What have I got myself into? I am loven it

My name is Lisa,
I was in a motorcycle wreck last year and I love the feeling of the wind on my face, mudding, fishing, basically anything out doors.
So I finally got a Jeep 3 weeks ago.
Not knowing oh so much I sure have learned a little the last three weeks.
Really feels like I've learned a lot but yea I know it's just a little a little addicting.
1988 YJ the frame was all rusted out on driver side, the driver side floor panel was pretty bad a few people were like OMG I don't know if you can get your money back if you sell it.(but I wouldn't sell it like that)
I thought I got it for a really good deal and since I have a few people that don't mind teaching me I learn how to weld and I love it.
I sand blasted the frame for 2 straight days and took most the rust off. Sanded the rest got a few pieces of frame replacements and welded them in. Tacked heavy metal on floor panel and fiberglassed over it both sides. Sanded for a loooong time in between we'll humm I am still sanding, finally sprayed primer and more sanding.
Well I could go on step by step but I would write like 10 pages.
Fiberglass and welding have made this project like my new best friend and no way am I selling this jeep now.
I am looking for a windshield frame if anyone knows where I can find a good deal.
