StoneQ I recently saw a listing for a trektop nx on CL for a 4 door @ $400. The guy said his wife couldnt use it. I am looking for a hard top myself, but it seems impossible to find one locally.

Jeep_Dragon Is anyone looking to sell a hardtop for my 2009 2 Door Wrangler?

greese i think there are people willing to have them be mismatched too. It's not like the thing is red or blue. Tan goes with everything.

Im hoping that's true but here in Toronto I have not seen a single wrangler with the colour matching hardtop let alone a TAN colour wrangler haha

tysalem Well... I sold it for $1200. Overall I'm happy because I would have accepted $1000. More money to go towards the Jeep now!

My only issue with the trek top is what the heck to do with it when you want to open things up. The Supertop folds down, but the trektop has to come off. then what? stuff it behind the seats?

I am buying a duster for mine for when I pull the Trektop off I ordered. Since the trektop comes with all the hardware, the duster really isn't that expensive and can use the trektop tailgate bar for the duster. That way all my stuff in back is covered out of site when I have the top off.

If the top was in perfect condition I would expect close to 1500. But it has a small chip that will turn most people away. Ill gladly take $1000 cash if someone offers it

True....I hadn't thought about that. When I had my TJ, I think I put my top down 6 or 7 times. I mostly just rolled up the rear window, or took out the windows. If I could get $1000 for my hardtop, I would buy the Supertop NX. I love the soft top, and since the Supertop NX is more OEM style than ever, it seems like a good choice. Hell my hardtop has only had the panels off three times, and there is not chips or cracks, so I should be able to get $1000 out of it.

greese because $1000 is a steal. I would list it at $1500 and I bet you end up in the 1200-1300 range when it is all said and done

tysalem Hmmmm. Got an offer of $1000 just 10 minutes after posting it on Craigslist.

What kind of material can you patch it up with and is it worth it in the end?
This is nothing you can weld some fiberglass easily to fill the gap and use some touch up paint, then you can sell it for 1000$ easily
04-02-2011 08:48 PM
tysalem It's not a crack, as in, its not going to start splitting up the side of the top.

tysalem Yeah it's a 2010. The crack is pretty small and it's on the underside of the top in the back, right by the tailgate. Like I said, I should be able to touch it up with a sharpie and it won't be that noticeable.
04-02-2011 08:23 PM
repoman100 You can get a brand new one for 2000$, if yours is cracked, forget about even getting 600$... Who wants cracked fiberglass. Try to get it fixed and set a reasonable price (800$) and see the responses you get.

ESP What year is your JK? I traded in my 2010 Hardtop for a soft top two months after getting mine to a Jeep dealer and got $1800 credit with them. I used it towards new tires, wheels, and a soft top same day.

If yours is close to mine in year then you could probably sell it for around $1500 used. The new 2010 or 2011 Hardtops retail for over $2000.

I want to sell my hardtop

Hey Everyone,

I've had my soft top for about two months now and I cannot see myself ever putting my hardtop back on. It is currently sitting in the garage taking up space and I really don't want it anymore.

My question is, how much do you think I can get for it? It was on my jeep for about 6 months and it only has a small crack on the back side that can easily be hid by a sharpie. I was thinking somewhere around $1000, but I'm not quite sure.

I'll be putting it on Craigslist soon because I think some people here in Phoenix will want to swap tops before the weather gets too hot.

Thanks for the help
