jokerchief462 Here is a couple of threads to help the process out.

I did the external on an 89 4bnger no issues just a little fabbing for the clutch peddle to master cylinder but very easy.

bwilburn What makes the external slave better than the internal ? Other than if it goes bad . Just curious wanting to do the swap myself .

88_black_yj I swapped in a used ax 15 I bought off eBay in my 88 using the advance adapters kit, pretty straight forward, keep your stock clutch and flywheel use pilot bushing from late cj. Definitely go with external slave cylinder, well worth it. Cost me about 1400 total

AX-15 swap

Hey y'all I have a 87 jeep wrangler 4.2L, 5 speed, peugot transmission I believe, and I believe it is on it's last leg, how would I swap in a AX-15?
