ianf I ordered the 91-95 in-tank fuel pump/sender for my 88 yj. Local repair shop says it can be done. Fingers crossed.

jokerchief462 Buddys 90 with the six banger has the same problem here in Vegas all summer. He put some heat shield in between the tank and the skid. Got a new heat shield up on the intake area. Wrapped the fuel lines with something shiny and is going to wrap the headers. So far it stopped the vapor lock just has a little trouble starting hot. So full throttle and it goes good on star up. He is running a 95 MPFI setup on his.

I don't have the answer on the wiring being different.

In tank fuel pump sending unit upgrade

I have a 1989 wrangler 4.2 l6 with mopar fuel injection with the supplied inline fuel pump. In Arizona the fuel pump tends to overheat when the summer temps reach 105 to 110 degrees outside. I want to upgrade to the one piece sending unit/pump for the 91-95 wranglers. My question is : are the wiring harness pigsties the same or different.
