Wade88 Thanks! It's a lot of new things to get adjusted to. It's a huge bombshell to have to process . We will be looking into the pump eventually. The Drs are still trying to get his dosage right. I'm sure you know way more than I do but if I can be any assistance at all let me know.

Asking jeep family for help

Hey guys and gals, I wasn't really sure where to put this so I hope I don't get in trouble. I'm writing about something that just recently hit close to home for my family. We began to notice some weight loss in our 12 year old son. After a Dr appointment last week we were told that he has developed Type 1 diabetes also called Juvenile Onset Diabetes. Needless to say we were devastated and shocked. For those who aren't aware of this disease its a autoimmune disease and its hereditary. Sadly there is no cure
It broke my heart knowing that my son will have to take insulin shots for the rest of his life. With this being said I did what every parent would do. I wanted to try to do all I could for research about this disease. My family and I have formed a team in the walk for diabetes research for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). We are asking for donations for Team Austin.
Any help is greatly appreciated and if you aren't able to give help me get the word out! If you want to donate simply copy and paste this link and it will take you to our page.

A million thanks!
