NWPATJ I drilled out the rivets that hold the header on. I thought about cutting about 6" off each side cause both sides are bad, and trying to splice in new metal tubing. But not sure how sturdy it will be. Has anyone else had this problem?

Broken Top Header Need Help!

I have been waiting for a nice 80 plus degree day to put my new top on. Well this past Friday was beautiful, laid the top out in the yard to get started. Put the top down and the header broke right off on the drivers side. I picked up a used header from a junkyard, because I knew mine had a problem of some kind but not sure what. So now I can't get the old header pieces out to put the new one on. Rusted real bad and won't slide out. The rest of my bow assembly is ok and I don't want to spend $599 to get the whole new everything.
So if anyone has any ideas or has been there before, and what worked for you. I would greatly appreciate the advise. Cause right now I have nothing just a headache.
