Odhinn Glad to hear no one was hurt.
I agree with Siggie check several good body shops for prices and quality of work. I myself got rearended a while ago but was lucky and the car hit squarely on my bumper. Destroyed the front end of her car but no damage to my Jeep.

Siggie Sorry to hear you were rear-ended. Glad to hear you won't be doing surgery or physical therapy because of some careless driver.

I'm new, but I do know this: You shouldn't be surprised at the crash worthiness of the Jeep. I read reports about it -- this truck is a little tank. As long as you don't roll it, you're in a very crashworthy truck.

Sounds like your repair won't be too tricky. Not enough energy to bring into play concerns about straightening the frame or other serious stuff. This is about:

Making sure they're factory OEM parts used in the repair
Making sure they do good prep work (visit the body shop to check out the work in progress)
Color matching -- discuss with them what they'll paint. If they suggest blending their paint inside a panel (rather than painting the whole panel) beware.

Don't let them nickle and dime you. The guy rear ended you and you should get your Jeep done right with no comprimise.

At times like this, I try to work with the body shop to get other stuff fixed at my own expense. If there are other scratches or body issues, this is a good time to get them fixed. Often the shop will give a good deal on other work.

Scout The only person who can reall tell you how long and how much it will cost is a body shop. You're insurance company (most likely) will require you to get at least three bids. They will give you a quote and an estimate on how long the repairs will take.

got rearended yesterday Happy Neyw Year

Got rearended on the way to dinner. Nobody was hurt except my baby. Wasvery surprised at how well the jeep took the hit. Was hit on rear pass corner. Hie 01 silverado headlight hti at my tail light. The corner, bumper, top, light ,and hinges need replaced but the whole front of the truck was messed up. Guess he should have got a jeep. Has anyyone had any bodywork like this done just wondering how much and long.
