Aloha! Just got my 97 a few days ago as well. As for seat covers, a lot of people on here go with bestop but I'm going with Wetokole. You can check them out here.

i'am new also.
but i came from dirt bikes, i raced m.x. for a few years. i just got my first jeep two weeks ago. now let me tell you, i had big plans for this thing. ...lift/tires/winch..etc. but the first thing i did when i got it home was take the top off of the thing. so now my two little sons [i have 4] want to go for a ride. so i take them out to my old riden spot. but wait since. they are 5 and 6 they want to take juice and snacks....remember how your jeep looked when you drove it off the lot? well in order to cut this story short. after about a half inch of dust inside the jeep. a couple of hours of my kids having fun. and showing them the jeep wave on the way home. a little bit of spilled capri sun was the least of my worries. take your jeep out and have fun.

Newbe to the jeep world
Hello, I just wanted to share a few thoughts with those of you who know jeeps to see if I'm starting in the right direction. I bought a 98 Wrangler Sahara two days ago and haven't been able to think about anything else since. It is completely bone stock and a cream puff with under 75k on it. I usually am a motorcyclist and still have two of them in the stable but have always wondered about the jeeps I've encountered on the trail with my dual sport. Now that my children are in booster seats I wanted to include themin the open air experience that I enjoy regularly but I want to make my interior bulletproof to prevent my children from trashing it. I have read many strings on seat covers and the like but still can't say what would be more water resistant and durable neoprene or what. I also would like to find out what is a better liner for after I pull out the carpet, a roll on or a professional like Rhino. Well, as I ramble I'm thiking of the many things that I want to do to my Jeep but this is enough for a start.
