|4Jeepn||Put a locker in the front and call it day. 250-300 for lock-right. Install about another 300 or so. This will help a lot. then get a set of MT tires 31's fit without a lift. Or get a 2" BB/spacer lift and 32's Winch is nice, but if your buddy has one, no need for you to get one right now. When the time comes I would also go with a warn, some things cost more for a reason.|

|osbornl1||check my sig for my setup it all cost around 2 grand for it all. and a day's worth of work to put it all on. it would be about 400 less if you kept the same wheels. and just ran agressive 31's.|

Here is my last jeep...(man I kick myself for trading it in).
I had 2" springs, an 1" body lift and ran 33's with ease. No vibe problems at all. I was going to put a 1" motor mount lift but never got around to it.
I did a lot of trails at Tellico and other locations in Georgia in this jeep with no problems. I did have disco's, a must have.

|jeeperx2||check out harbor freight tools 8000 lb winch & mounting channel for 300 on sale wouldnt need a bumper just mount the channel ?! i ran 31x10.50 on stock setup and 33x12.50 on a 2" bb & 2"bl but i think the 33s would clear with just a budget boost not much room to flex though!|

|mrbigjeep||good start would be a BB. its not enough lift to affect driveline in most cases and it should give you enough room for 31's or 32's and its very affordable. there are tons of bumpers out there. i think that depends on your personal preference.|

I have an '01 se. The whole thing is stock, save the tires, which are still not anything special. I went mudding after a large amount of rain fell last weekend. I was surprised with what the stock Jeep could do for the most part. However, around dusk I went to pull off on what I thought was a trail into a deer lease..good place for mud, right? Well, it was...except it wasn't a trail. It was a place where someone had pushed some brush off the road with a skidder. I was doing good in some pretty deep mud until I found the brushpile the skidder left. I went to stop and reverse out, but I sunk it to the axle on the left side. It took every bit of a buddy's 8000# winch to pull me out. Now, I'm looking at a good bumper to put a good winch on, as well as taller tires. I'm looking for decent parts that won't kill my pocket book. Any suggestions as to where I should start? I don't need to be the baddest mudder around, but I'd like to be able to drive/pull myself out next time. Thanks!!
