Great advice, pretty sure I have the bigger tank now, will find out for sure in a couple days.

ridingonwheels This is not the same as the filler neck conversion, in 87 their was and optional tank size, 2 completely different tanks.

What size is the gas tank on my '87 YJ

I just bought an '87 YJ with the 4.2L motor. The gas gauge is not working but I don't really care to fix it, I just want to know if I have the 15 or the optional 19 Gallon tank without running out of gas. Is there a visual way to determine this?
