I was looking at the same thing before I decided on the Ace Rock Rails. Check them out.

Hivedr Today I installed a Teraflex adjustable 3rd brake light kit to my Teraflex tire carrier. Install went quickly right up to the point were I went it use the integrated CB mount that comes as part of the adjustable brake light.

If one follows the instruction for correct mounting of the tire firmly against the tire carrier hinge, it is next to impossible to mount a CB antenna properly on the 3rd brake light integrated mount.

I am not saying it was not well thought out, but well it wasn't. If your customer is running anything other than a
stock tire and rim the mount is useless to properly install a CB antenna.

But all is not lost I was able to put together a mount using the 3rd brake light support sides as a mounting surface. I
just could not let all the adjustment wholes go to waist, they cried out for something to be mounted to them.

I forgot to mention, the intergraded CB mount on the Teraflex adjustable 3rd brake light mount was the one feature that pushed me to go with Teraflex over other options. Oh well no big deal now, everything turned out.

No way! For one thing it's the only way to go from a 5x5 to 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Second reason- I love the look. Here's another angle...

Build your jeep the way you want, but mine is for the sand and it works and looks the way I want it to.

Gord P I brought it home with a new manual transmission after having it at the dealership for the past 2.5 weeks. It was a LONG time without it.

mwmoon Sold a set of TJ nerf bars that had been sitting in my garage for a couple of years on Craigslist. That belongs in this thread because the proceeds will go toward my winch fund.

bimmergirl Thought I locked the keys inside her today. I was having a bad day and this was not the way I wanted to end it. So, I had a little fun figuring out how to break into my new JKU. It was harder than I thought, which is a good thing. This is my first Jeep so don't be too harsh on my Jeepignorance

Had the back window unzipped and out earlier when I parked and the alarm engaged/doors locked. My driver's side window was open too, I never leave my Jeep like this but it was in my company parking deck so it was safe and I was too exhausted to zip up after lunch. My glove box and console were locked.

Back to the missing keys. I did locate them about 10 minutes after a friend who is much younger and much more flexible than I am hopped in through the back window to search for the keys. So here's what I learned...Remember now, my driver's side window was also open, but we couldn't unlock the electric locks; they wouldn't work. The red light on my dash just blinked and my hazards flashed a couple of times. I unzipped my side window (hazards blinked again) thinking I could reach in and flip the lock on the back door. That side window doesn't come out with the door closed because part of it is still in the door jam and my arm wasn't long enough to reach the lock or interior door handle. (Now I know why thieves use knives instead of unzipping things). The lock wouldn't flip anyway once my friend got inside to try and open it. I don't think he tried the door handles in the front which I guess would have triggered the alarm and when it opened the door.

What I did to her when I got home was wash the back window in the tub removing all the disgusting pollen and bird doodie. Mud and dirt I can handle but I draw the line at poop.

I love my Jeep and driving her home with the windows down and out makes my hectic crazy day fade away and always puts a smile on my face

flyfish29 Got her seals checked. Yup. She's got a few leaks. New seals on the way. I've had three wrangler dual tops and no leaks until this one! Sigh. I guess I should consider myself lucky huh.

Sure here is the link: Combi-Cam 7850R-S-Black Small 5/8" Combinated Cabinet Lock: Automotive

The lock takes maybe 5-10 minutes to switch out. I did not use one of the three cams that came with the combination lock. I just took the straight cam off of the original and it works perfectly.

FYI - I had no problem getting the drawer open and getting my gun in hand within 3-5 seconds, while driving! I did not even have to take my eyes off the road or my foot off the gas.

I must admit that the tapered face on the lock could make it difficult to pull the drawer out if your hand is sweaty. However, I plan to resolve this by roughing up the face of the lock a little.

Actually drilled rotors don't really do much :-/ mostly for show (and for manufacturers to get more money out of you) If you really want performance gains you want slotted.

The lock that came with the box did not always open easily. Sometimes I would have to jiggle the key for a couple of minutes before I could finally get it unlocked. This is a huge problem for me since I carry my handgun in the lock box. The other benefit is now I can have the box closed and unlocked at the same time. With the original lock you could not close the box and keep the drawer from sliding out with it unlocked.

To cap off this topic....I can personally (from experience) tell everyone that if you ever need to access your firearm from within a vehicle it must be at your side or on your ankle. I wear both most of the time. If I wasn't able to carry everywhere then my method of vehicle carry would be the holster attached under the sterring wheel. I currently dont have a tuffy, however The tuffy seems to be cool for transport and storage but I wouldn't trust it to be able to open the box and get down range in a matter of seconds. And when I say seconds I mean 3-5 not 15-30. I Just wanted to share personal experience that I truly pray no one has to ever encounter. Back on topic.. Plastidipped the grill. Didnt like how it came out so ill let it dry and go over it again this weekend.

I had to put some rubber pads on the latches that attach to the roll bar due to a slight rattle when it was loaded down with stuff. However, it is a very secure and sturdy rack. Very happy with it.

Mine is a 2013. I would think it would fit the 2014 since it basically bolts into the rear seat bolt holes, but not 100% sure.

Love the look.

Discount Tire store really gave great service and unbelievable price.

Was concerned about the size and weight of the spare tire. I will probably get a "Rock Crawler Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier" once I can afford it.
The spare fits snug and actually rest on the bumper indent (which seems to be supporting the weight).

I few other mods although not all today:

Rugged Ridge Hood Latches
Rampage Rear storage rack
Trek Armor Seat covers
Rear tailgate rack (from ebay)
Quadratex Rear Cargo Liner
Fire Extinguisher
Smittybilt First Aid kit

I have some Smittybilt SRC side rails but ran into the "bracket problem" preventing the install. Need to do some grinding to get them to fit.

Thanks to everyone that posts info and suggestions on this forum. I did a lot of research and the info your guys provided was extremely helpful !

Ready for Jeep Beach this weekend!!
