Coyote_94YJ Did anyone see a couple of bendy bus's get smashed up on Top Gear? That was some good stuff.

jcf My son used to do stock car racing in Australia, kind of a worry but they aren't as bad as these, they really are nuts.
Oh yeah' JD the caravan smash ups are fun aren't they!

Coyote_94YJ No, not really. Unless your looking for some extreme up close action.

JDsDream I have friends from London that come "over the pond" to work with me at the Petit LeMans, they have always got great racing stories.

Coyote_94YJ Ya, I noticed that too. In one of those videos there was a guy casually walking away while looking at the wrecked cars around him.

JDsDream The scary part is when they exit the cars in the middle of the carnage.

Coyote_94YJ I talked with a guy who used to do banger racing and he said you want them to "fold up". It absorbs the impact. He also said they generally use cars that have a fair bit of rust for that reason.

The really crazy part is they aren't using roll cages. They just weld in a flat plate of steel under the driver seat and feet so that part of the car doesn't fold up.

JDsDream They have crazy racing in GB. I love the caravan races. really funny stuff. Of course I'm into all kinds of motorsports.

cavediverjc Lol.......those are great videos. It's easy to see why alot of those European cars won't pass U.S. crash/safety regulations........they just FOLD up. Those drivers are characteristically crazy Brits!!
