offroad evolution axle parts

I am getting ready to do the gears in my rubi and today I ordered the magnum 44 axle sleeves with the c2 gussets. Has anyone put these on there tj? I noticed it says the gussets need modified to work on the tj. My other question is I'm not in the position to replace my axles yet but what is the best u joint to get for the axles?
