|Gunner||Did you decide on a kit for the lift?|

Can't Wait to get this done!!! Almost completed the budget for it and now if I dont hit any snags should be getting this within the next month or two.

|Gunner||Well things change. I bought a RK 3.5, mid arm kit. It came with the 2.0 RK shocks. Im running on 35's and no lift right now. The only rub is on the slider. Thats getting cut monday.|

Yeah I am going to work my way up to the Rubicon Trail, I think I'm going with a 3.5"-4" lift and start off with 35's but once I wear those out and I'm ready for the rubicon I will go to 37's.
Randog I'll Let you know when I get all that stuff done and We'll definitely try to break something, or at least test the skids I'm gonna get!
Thanks to all you guys that posted. I really got a lot of good info and I am ready to make an informed decision.

Hey Bob, My son ran 35" with a 2.5 inch lift with Fender Flares no problem, he went to 37" "guy thing", and put new spring to have 3.5" of lift runs awesome and put on wheel spacers not sure why "guy thing again what the Hell". I have a 4" Tera Flex 8 arm running 35" tires. When I get my flat fenders I am going up to 37" but with 37" I will defiantly need to brace and sleeve my front axle...
Good luck have fun see you on the trails.

|josea1952||Gunner that 3 link kit from RK is bad azz though!! I have ome shocks on my rubi and they've been great!! Jk's are pretty damn capable though, how long you had yours?|
|09-05-2013 06:06 PM|
|josea1952||Also the MC lift does not state the requirement of a DS, but it is "only" a 3.5.|

|Gunner||I just put in my order for a 2.5 OME lift to go with my new 35's. I backed off the real expensive Fox res and Rock Krawler 3 link lift. I need too much stuff done to bring it up to where my TJ was, Bumpers, winch, radio, rocker skids, armor. A 2.5 and 35's will do John Bull and Mottino. And I just fell in love with running the desert.|

|josea1952||Not to nit pick, I believe you mean caster?|

You saw my Rubi with a 4in lift and 33s; it needs 35s at least. With a 4in lift you will need to change the front drive line so factor in another $150-200 bucks for that. Also with 4in as Ted was saying its kinda screws with your camber a little, mines off a little but I can deal with it but I need new adjustable arms to make it right. That's another $300 bucks.. Who said this was a cheap sport??
When you get it done lets take it out and see if we can break it!

And the MC lift will work with 35's as well. I was just saying that it handles 37's well with their fenders.
I switched my lower fronts from TF to MC and noticed better smoother ride quality. It's great stuff.

|Jk4thedirt||I think everyone forgot the idea of a little lift for his Daily Driver and maybe a little bigger tire. Where the heck does the 3.5" lift with 37" tires come into this? I have that combo, but that is me.|

|josea1952||Look at the metal cloak lift, has rave reviews all over the net and their a forum vendor, read the metal cloak thread on JKO really good info. Customer service is great and parts are better, great lift with insane articulation and will if not damn near outflex any other bolt on lift. I believe they are on 37's on their Jk with their fenders.|

No dealer is going to warranty aftermarket mods. But the only parts of your warranty that are voided are the modded parts themselves, and/or any manufacturer failures that can be directly linked to the mod. The great thing though is most of the mod parts come with their own warranties.
And as far as mod friendly dealer, I work for one. And quite a few of my techs are wheelers themselves. So at least they know what they're dealing with.

|Gunner||We need to do a list of dealers that are Mod friendly. I would travel a bit to patronize a good dealer.|

Thanks. Last question....Do you need a lift to upgrade to larger tires?
Most of my use is DD, but like the look of the larger tires.
