FWIW, I found out when I replaced my Stock Speakers with Alpines, that the "Speakers" are the problem, and not the Radio. The Speakers are so cheaply made, they look like they were made by a Kinder-Care Class with Elmers Glue! Yeah! That bad! The Alpines made a tremendous difference in sound, and I'm having my Amp installed tomorrow, which should finish off my Sound Upgrade.

I was considering Upgrading the Head Unit as well, but if the Amp does what it's supposed to do, I won't need to do that Upgrade at all!

Cheers!

Absolutely! In my two prior jeeps, I replaced the speakers with Polk's and the difference was amazing. Surprisingly, I haven't replaced my kinder-care speakers yet--but probably will now, that you've reminded me!!

Blackbeard1718 Welcome Aboard, Shipmate!

Here's one source...

Quadratech UConnect & iPod Integration Kit (Link)

... and the PDF Instructions...

Install PDF (Link)

Make sure what your Radio Model is, before you buy. You may want to call to make sure it'll fit first. You should be able to find your model, on the bottom right of the faceplate. For instance, mine says, "RES".

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

2009 Wrangler X 2 Dr - Adding UConnect & Ipod

Does anyone have any kits/websites they recommend for adding uconnect and ipod integration to the stereo (non-nav) in the wrangler x? I have the buttons but they do nothing...

Any experience with doing it yourself or hiring a stereo place to do it?

Thanks!
