I was curious. I take new folks over there every month or so. It's a good place for folks to cut their teeth on wheelin.

|Spine of God||Indeed. If you want to wheel all day rather than drive around and occasionally find an obstacle, Tahuya is fine.|

How'd you do on yellow jacket? Or the mollies on the south loop? Tahuya has a few things that can test a driver and their rig.

I think you guys would like Evans Creek ORV Park more than boring old Tahuya. Tahuya is great if you like to ride motorcycles, but doesn;t really offer up much more than a mud hole for 4X4s. Evans Creek has many trails dedicated to 4X4s in varying degrees of difficulty, it's all mapped out.
There is a proper camp ground there too.
Here are maps to look at.

Welcome to the area. Tahuya is a decent trail for beginners. Camping is available but it is reserved only. It's close enough that a day trip can be made easily. All of the trails in the area are doable in a day. Exceptions are the Manastash area in the north Rainier area and Tillmook down in Oregon. Both of those places you really need to hang around a few days to get in all the wheeling.
We will probably try to put together a Tahuya run in a couple of weeks.

New to Washington and Northwest
Hello Everyone. I just recently moved up to Washington. I live in Tacoma right now and I am stationed at Ft. Lewis. I was wondering if anyone an tell me where the best places to go are. I prefer something easier at first. Also camping by there would be great too. Thank you.
