93yjsplash Just throwing this out there but my suburban was making a grinding noise that escalated to a humming while driving dow the road so i replaced the wheel hub. The bearings had gone out and everything was kinda just grinding up in there.

New guy! odd wrangler sounds

I recently bought a 1993 jeep wrangler yj for $1900. It is a 4 cylinder 5 speed with 4 wheel drive. So here is my issue when it is in 2 wheel drive it makes this awful grinding sound in the front and when it is in four wheel drive it pops. The guy i bought it off of swore up and down that the only thing it needed was a new cross member. It does look bad but a friend of mine said that it isnt that big of an issue. What could it be? It still drives and runs it is just making these horrid sounds. If any one has any thoughts to make my jeep ride smoother get back at me.
Thanks,
Travis
