JT42 Gotta put my wife in the running. When she met me I had a '69 Camaro that I had restored and I lovingly sold it to buy a ring for her. In the nine years since we got married she has let me purchase and fix up a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, a '69 Chevy Nova, a Jeep KJ, a W8 Passat Wagon, a 2012 VR6 Passat, and now my new Jeep TJ. No matter what vehicle it is I just love working on vehicles and customizing them. Its truly an obsession and one that my wife has become increasingly interested in. She helped me restore the Nova and is very excited about our new Wrangler!

Lab Lover My husband has always been supportive of my obsession with vehicles. He's been away on hunting trips and come home to find a new car in the driveway on more than one occasion. He's never really cared, I have a good job and we don't carry a bunch of debt.

He gave me his blessing on selling our 02 TJ and getting a 2012 JKUR so I could haul our grandson. A car seat doesn't fit in my sports car. He let me order what I wanted and build it as I like, never said a word.

I felt bad every time I saw him look at my Jeep with a longing in his eyes. He wheeled it in Calico and had so much fun I decided to find him a Jeep of his own.

I found an 03 TJ that was extremely built, took him to look at it and he fell in love so I bought it for him. He loves that Jeep and no longer has the sad look as I drive off in my JKUR.

After 31 years of him putting up with me, I think he deserved that Jeep...hell he deserves a metal too

LJEEPJ Well let me tell you about my little woman..We are getting an 05 Rubby 6 spd. It took some negotiation and discussion, but I'm allowed to sit in the passenger seat....half the time. The other half I get to watch her go down the driveway Well I guess I showed her.

PHILDABEAST In spite of heavy rain we had a great time our first day on the trails.
Here's the wifey, obviously not enjoying herself at all.

My lovely bride being the awesome jeep girl that she is chose Moab as our honeymoon destination.
And if that wasn't enough. When we get our bonuses from work I'm already approved for gears, chromoly shafts, Currie antirock, and a full set of MC control arms, as long as she gets bumpers and rockers.
You will have a blast in Moab! Great time to go. My wife is more of an Uptown Girl and thinks the Jeep is de classe. Fortunately our youngest daughter (adult) likes Jeeping. We just got back from Moab. Did the trails in Canyonlands, camped at Dead Horse Point and hiked there and in Arches National Park. Enjoy!!! Just be sure to take and drink plenty of water when you head out.

You'll take special note of a key part in that last sentence.

TJDave rjpark36, The Jeep looks great with the new shoes.

It's great to have an awesome wife that allows us to enjoy our hobby/obsession.

Good to see others in this thread with the same luck.

Mine's pretty awesome too. She loves to ride the trails, and does not mind all the upgrades I have made. I always tell her with every upgrade, we will get stuck a little less often!

And she would rather not drive it. PERFECT!

Gunner When I became disabled I had to sell the race bike. My wife told me to get a jeep and hang out with some of my buddies. I bought a nice YJ 2.5. After our first trail outing she thought I ought to get a nicer jeep. So we bought a friends 04 Rubicon. We fixed it up some and had fun. I got a bug to take the grandkids and friends out so we decided to get something bigger. She took me to the Jeep dealer and we bought a new JKUR. She helped me get the TJ ready for sale and when it sold told me. What mods are you going to do to the new jeep with all the money from the TJ. Yippie kai yay.

I remember something about "what's mine is yours" on our wedding day, but it's all good. She works way harder than I do staying at home raising two little ones, especially when my job has me away from home for long periods.

rjpark36 A couple more. I had to make a spacer for the third brake light, and I'm fairly certain I am going to add a leveling kit to the front. Hoping to get a little off-pavement time with the neighbor in his '80 CJ7. Will hopefully get a chance to disconnect and see how she flexes!

rjpark36 Before and after. Love the look, and quiet on the road as far as I can tell so far. Of course, as soon as I got home the kids wanted a ride. I offered their first ride to my wonderful wife, and I barely got the words out of my mouth before she grabbed the keys out of my hand. She's sold, which will hopefully make the next few mods a little easier to sell......

jp2611 To OP...'04 TJ 3.73s and 4.0 5 speed...33"x12.50"x15"s Duratracs on cragar soft 8's last OCT....Dropped Jeep off for Regear this past weekend...and an SYE....it will work but yeah it gets old constantly shifting, and in the mud it really kinda sucks......and as for the SIG Other..we are now a 3 Jeep family since she can not get the Grandbaby in the back of our JK...was gonna trade the '04 but she said, "you love that Jeep to much I don't want a new one if you have to trade Red".......heres the Pics we kept her '12 JK it is now my DD and the '04 is now officially a "toy".

RnEmOvr When I met my wife 8 years ago I wasn't sure how well she would get along with the Jeep. It didn't take long before she proved she was worthy of keeping. Picture one is her next to my Dad helping with the motor swap. Picture two is a shirt she picked out. Number three is her helping me with a Hyline hood louver with a pose that was also her idea.

doclouie A person once said that 90% of a man's misery or happiness comes from one decision, who they marry. I am glad to see that many others also made the correct choice as I did.
