Thanks for the info! Once I knew this was the case, I knew it was REALLY suck and that only a torch would unstick it (which I didn't have). So, I cheated and may pay the price down the line. That tube was bendable enough that I bent it up, unscrewed, put on the new one, and bent it back down...Worse comes to worse it fails and I buy a new one, which wouldn't be terrible since it was such a rusted piece of junk.
Anyway, thanks for this info, it helped me just 'go for it' to get the job done since I knew the issue.

|whiteyj||That brass nut in between your arrows should be breaking loose and spin on the tubing. Might just be stuck and need a little persuasion.|

Power Steering in Pieces, Help ASAP!
Well, I just stopped changing my power steering pump because I'm stuck on something dumb and I need your help ASAP (otherwise I'm not sure what to do).
It's a '93 YJ. I've got everything disconenected from the power steering pump except the high pressure hose. The hose screws into the pump and, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to remove it. The reason is because you can't actually turn the hose/pump to unscrew because the metal hose fitting won't clear past the pump (ie. you can only turn it 2 inches, then it hits the pump). How do I get this hose off?
Any help in the next few minutes would be HUGELY helpful as I can't really do much until I figure this out.
